E3 2017 Predictions

This is my favourite time of the year. The entire video game industry is gathering in LA this week to announce new games, play new games, get excited about and disappointed about new games… It’s the stuff I live for. I like to watch all the conferences live and of course, make some predictions. Here’s what I got, thanks for reading!

Electronic Arts – Saturday, June 10th, 1 pm EST

  1. Peggle 3 announced
  2. New Plants vs Zombies game announced
  3. Battlefront II story trailer shown and expansive $50+ Season Pass announced
  4. No new Battlefield game shown, DLC for Battlefield 1 announced
  5. Conference closes with trailer for Amy Hennig’s Star Wars game

Xbox – Sunday, June 11, 5 pm EST

  1. Project Scorpio named, priced at $399 USD and coming November 2017
  2. Crackdown 3 releasing same day as Scorpio
  3. State of Decay 2 coming October 27th, 2017
  4. Forza Motorsport 7 announced, coming September 2017
  5. Shadow of the Tomb Raider announced
  6. No mention of AR or VR during the whole conference

Bethesda Softworks – Monday, June 12, 12 am EST

Ubisoft – Monday, June 12th, 4 pm EST

  1. Assassin’s Creed Origins announced, releasing October 27th, 2017
  2. New Far Cry 5 story trailer shown
  3. Rabbids/Mario game officially announced, coming Fall 2017
  4. The Crew 2 coming October 2017
  5. Conference ends with new game announcement!

PlayStation – Monday, June 12th, 9 pm EST

  1. Insomniac Games’ Spider-man game coming Fall 2017
  2. New God of War coming Fall 2018
  3. No mention of The Last of Us Part II
  4. Media Molecule’s Dreams coming September 2017
  5. Sony Bend’s Days Gone coming Spring 2018
  6. Brand new PSVR game announced, developed by Sony first party studio

And I was going to make some Nintendo predictions, but I really don’t care about Nintendo and I have some errands to run today. Disappointing Pikmin game trailer, dumbed down FIFA and Skyrim for Switch, old man snaps fingers a lot, not a single woman speaks during the whole conference, maybe that Mario guy show up?

Thank you for reading, have a lovely E3 ❤
